We carry out a site survey to identify areas requiring surveillance and assess the best camera locations. We consider factors such as coverage area, lighting conditions, obstructions and camera angles.

Camera Selection

We carefully select CCTV cameras based on intended environment, resolution requirements, and features like night vision, weather and vandal resistance, and remote monitoring capabilities. We also consider whether to use fixed or PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras.

Wiring

We connect the cameras to the monitoring and recording equipment by running cables, usually using coaxial or Ethernet cables for IP cameras. We try to hide the cables wherever possible to prevent tampering and to keep everything looking good. If the cameras aren't powered over Ethernet (PoE), we install separate power sources for them.

Connection to Recording Equipment

We connect CCTV cameras to a DVR or NVR and configure network settings for IP cameras to ensure remote accessibility.

Configuration and Testing

We configure the camera settings, such as resolution, frame rate, motion detection, and recording schedules. After that, we test each camera to ensure that it's working properly, including checking the video quality, motion detection, night vision (if applicable), and remote access. Based on the test results and feedback, we adjust the camera positions and settings as needed to ensure optimal functionality.

Compliance and Legal Considerations

We guarantee that we comply with all the applicable laws, regulations, and privacy guidelines related to the usage of CCTV cameras. This includes obtaining any necessary permits or permissions. We also ensure that proper signage is displayed to inform individuals of the CCTV surveillance, as required by law in many jurisdictions.
